- 45 mL bourbon
- 15 mL cold, strong coffee
- 15 mL almond liqueur , e.g. Amaretto
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Shake the bourbon, coffee, and almond liqueur over ice until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and add two dashes of orange
bitters.
Winter means bourbon and whiskey cocktails like the revolver, a bourbon-coffee liqueur-orange bitters cocktail found in Robert
Simonson's Three-Ingredient Cocktails. Having cold coffee but no coffee liqueur, this interpretation with classic proportions was very tasty. The name refers back
to the inspiration, in a more pacifist way.
