- 1 L milk
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 4 cloves
- 1 Tbs sugar (optional)
- 100 ml Amaretto
Combine milk, vanilla bean, cinnamon stick, cloves and sugar (if using) in a 1 1/2 L pan and heat milk over medium high heat until it is steaming but not boiling. Reduce heat to medium so that the milk is still steaming but does not boil, and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the Amaretto. Strain into mugs. Top with a bit of whipped cream if you like.
To make a non-alcoholic version, make with almond milk, either bought or home-made.
