Jorj's Hot cocoa Christmas Baking with SusieJ

Measurements [American]

  • 950 mL milk
  • 70 g sugar
  • 25 g cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • One of:
    • 1/4 tsp vanilla
    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
    • 1 tsp instant espresso
    • 60 mL brewed espresso

In a saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa. Add a few tablespoons of milk and heat over medium high heat, stirring constantly. The heat will make it easier to dissolve the cocoa.

When the sugar, cocoa and milk have formed a paste, add the remainder of the milk and heat until steaming. Pour into mugs and serve.

If Jorj has a cooking motto, it's everything is better with vanilla. Although not a chocolate person, this is his favorite wintertime drink.
