White Lady

After you've bought Cointreau for Margaritas or Heisser Bischof, you can also use it in this simple, crisp cocktail. Traditionalists might argue it should be made with an egg white (buy a the pasteurized kind in pouring carton, be sure there is no salt or spices added), but I prefer the crispness the cocktail without. The vigorous shaking is what makes this appear white.

Shake over ice:

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

Pour into a cocktail glass.
