Old Tom is sweeter than modern gin, and might be a little harder to find. Proportions vary up to equal parts gin and vermouth.

• 2 oz Old Tom Gin
• 1 oz sweet vermouth
• 1 tsp Maraschino liqueur (not from the cherry jar)
• 2 dashes of orange bitters
• Twist of lemon peel

Stir all ingredients but the peel with ice and strain into a glass. Twist the peel over the cocktail.
